I love to cook. But sometimes, I just feel like making something simple, eat it fast and get on with life.
I’ll share my microwaved omelette recipe today.
You will need:
- 2 eggs (what is one egg as a meal? Nothing.)
- A pinch of salt.
- Some milk (Try not to have more milk than eggs)
- Pepper (optional)
- A microwaveable bowl/mug
Here are the ingredients
Crack your eggs into your mug and add in milk. I think that as long as you don’t have more milk than eggs, you are fine.
I usually add in about two egg yolk sized milk. Add in a pinch or two of salt.
Beat it well with a fork.
Pop it in the microwave. I tried the 3 minute setting. Experiment as you go.
Along the way, the egg on top and near the sides will cook first. Remember to take your bowl out and mix the cooked pieces into the mixture and put it back into the microwave. You will need to repeat this about every 20 seconds.
If you leave it in too long, you will have a failed egg custard instead of nice omelette. It will look like this and taste like sponge.
If you are lucky and have mixed in the cook eggs along the way, you will get a fluffy omelette like this. (But wait some time for the water to evaporate or it will be runny.)
